Eric joined Girasole Imports having spent more than two decades in the wine industry.
He began his career selling wine for companies including Estate Wines Limited and Northwest Wines. It was at Estate Wines that he discovered a passion for Italian wines.
When an opportunity to work on the supply side of the business arose, he took a position at Kathryn Kennedy Winery, where he served as the Director of Sales for 14 years.
While at Kathryn Kennedy, Eric worked on harvests, marketing projects, and direct wholesale sales. He was also a part of the marketing committee for the Santa Cruz Mountains Winegrowers Association, working on trade events and education.
Eric was the original sales person to join Girasole Imports. He has helped to tailor the portfolio and introduce it to the Northern California market. Eric is passionate about sharing the stories and wines of our producers.
Born and raised in the Sierra Foothills, Brant has enjoyed an exposure to wine throughout his entire life.
It wasn’t until he spent a year living and studying in Southern France, that he developed the curiosity to pursue the wine industry professionally. Upon returning home he started working in restaurants around San Francisco, where he quickly earned his Certified Sommelier pin.
During his time working as a sommelier with the James Beard-winning wine program at A16 Restaurant in San Francisco,
Brant has gained a specific expertise in Italian wines from all corners of Italy. He loves wines from small producers off the beaten path, and he can usually be found drinking something fun and funky from the South of Italy, Austria, or even the Balkans!
In addition to representing Girasole Imports, Brant owns a wine club, manages restaurant wine lists, and is working towards his WSET Diploma.
